What we believe
We are a New Testament Church
(Heb. 10:24-25; 1 Tim. 4:11-16)
-
Reaching out to our local community in the San Francisco
Bay Area.
-
We also are a world outreach church through
international television,
internet and missions ministries
About the Bible
About God
-
We believe in the triune godhead of the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 3:21-22; 2 Cor. 13:14)
-
We believe God created the universe by His Power and Word.
-
We believe that God is all knowing, all powerful, and ever present.
About Jesus Christ
-
We believe that Jesus was the Son of
God and sent by God the Father into the world to save sinners.
-
We believe that Jesus died for our
sins and rose from the dead victoriously.
-
We believe that He ascended to His
Father’s side where He is the head of the church.
-
We believe Jesus Christ is returning
back to earth personally, visibly, and bodily to reign as Lord. (1 Cor.
15:3-4; Acts 2:22-28; Acts 13:28-38; John 1:1-3, 14; Matt. 1:18-23;
Heb. 1:1-3, 8-9; 1 John 3:5)
About Salvation
-
We believe that to receive salvation,
one must be born again according to John 3:3 and Romans 10:9-10.
-
We believe that all who have received
Christ will at death depart to be with Christ in their spirits and
at Christ’s return receive a new body which will be like His
glorious body.
About the Holy Spirit
-
We believe in the baptism of the Holy
Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:4-5,
8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2-6)
-
We believe that all believers are
endowed with certain spiritual gifts. (Rom. 12:1-8, 1 Cor. 12:18-28)
About Baptism
About the Church
-
We believe a New Testament church is
a local body of baptized believers who have agreed together to
worship Jesus Christ, edify the believers, evangelize the lost, and
minister to others. (Heb. 10:24-25; 1 Tim. 4:11-16)
-
The church has two ordinances:
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism
symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and
the new life we have in Him.
The Lord’s Supper
is a reminder of Christ’s death and anticipates His Second Coming.
